April 22 is Earth Day, and Apple has another fitness challenge for Apple Watch users to get you out and exploring!

It’s not enough that I’m skating in a roller derby tournament this Earth Day weekend: Apple wants me to go and explore my outdoor surroundings to earn its third special Apple Watch fitness badge.

Following the success of its Thanksgiving and New Years fitness events, Apple is offering users the chance to earn a special Earth Day badge for logging any 30 minutes (or longer) walk, run, cycle, or wheelchair workout in the Apple Watch’s Workout app or other compatible third-party app. Complete the workout, and you’ll get a special icon in the Activity app as well as a custom iMessage sticker. A new, posthumous single from Prince is now available on Apple Music and iTunes. The song, ’Deliverance’, comes from an EP of the same name, due to release this Friday, April 21. However, Prince’s estate and Paisley Park have filed suit against sound engineer George Boxill, who worked with Prince on the tracks for the EP. The suit alleges that Boxill refused to return the tracks to the estate, which would violate a contract he had made with Prince.

According to St Paul’s KSTP, the lawsuit accuses Boxill of refusing to return the tracks in violation of a contract he made with the late artist. The lawsuit was initially filed in Carver County district court Friday, but was re-filed in federal court Tuesday because Boxill, who has worked with 2Pac, Gladys Knight, Janet Jackson and others, works in California.

Weirdly, the Apple Watch could become the ”must have” VR accessory of the year.

There are now several VR apps in Apple’s App Store offering companion apps for the Apple Watch. These companion apps don’t allow you to look down in VR and see your watch, but instead give the wearer some basic controls over what is being seen by others in these apps. This gives the person wearing the Apple Watch the ability to share something in VR with another person without making that person entirely responsible for controlling the virtual experience they currently inhabit, which is brilliant.

One of the most awkward parts of sharing VR with someone unfamiliar with the experience is not being able to control what that person sees. This is even worse with mobile VR, where you can’t see what the other person is seeing and have to use their descriptions of things to navigate them to the experience you want to share.
