In studying Jobs’ eating habits and behaviour, Kutcher learned that Jobs’ used to drink a lot of carrot juice. Apple has this weekend open the door at two of its brand new retail stores across the globe. In Mexico City, Apple Antara was opened in the Polanco disctric of Mexico city. The store opened at 5 p.m. Friday, and features monumental 23-foot tall sliding glass doors. In a statement prior to opening Apple said:

This week marked the anticipated release of Mario Kart Tour for iOS giving iPhone users the ability to play the iconic racing game. Unsurprisingly, early data suggests the game is a worldwide hit.

According to analytics from Sensor Tower (via VentureBeat), Mario Kart Tour was the number one app in the App Store in 58 markets, including the U.S. and Japan. In the U.S., the game reached No. 19 for iPhone revenue, easily surpassing the last Nintendo mobile game, Dr. Mario.

Additionally, Mario Kart Tour has already reached 10.1 million downloads worldwide, per data by intelligence firm Apptopia. That mark is better than other marquee titles like Pokémon Go and Clash Royale.

Not long after a report claimed Apple was planning to release some movies in theaters before hitting Apple TV+, Variety has even more details on the company’s plans.

Apparently, Apple has set release dates for The Banker, Hala, and The Elephant Queen, the latter of which will be in theaters on October 18 and then stream on Apple TV+ in November. The Elephant Queen apparently premiered in New York this week to ”great fanfare,” according to Variety.

The Banker stars Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson as real estate and finance moguls, respectively, in the Jim Crow era. The film hits theaters on December 6 and is expected to be an award contender.

LG is rolling out a firmware update that will add AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support for the 2019 UHD UM7X TV series. First spotted by MacRumors, the update is version 04.70.03 and is now available to download.

LG had previously stated the update would arrive in October, but it seems it had a change of heart and rolled it out ahead of time. The AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support is part of an initiative by Apple to make its products more accessible via televisions, especially now that it is working on services like Apple Music and Apple TV+ that users can access outside of its ecosystem.
