Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is quirky and bizarre, but fans love it

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a quirky game best described as a J-Pop-centered JRPG with a light touch of Fire Emblem elements.

Last year we saw the launch of the most successful Fire Emblem title in the U.S. to date: Fire Emblem: Three Houses. With its unexpected popularity, many new players have become better acquainted with Fire Emblem combat and lore. Today, January 17, 2020, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore released on Nintendo Switch. It’s considered to be a crossover between the world of Japanese video game developer, Atlus – the creators of Persona 5, and the world of Fire Emblem. But players shouldn’t expect a Fire Emblem experience from this game.

This is a re-release of the Wii U title, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and it centers on the world of Tokyo teenagers who are out to save the world from evil. The game hasn’t been out very long, but so far, user scores indicate that the game is well-liked, overall by those who have played it.

Here’s a shortcut to launch you right into your Netflix favorites!

Use a shortcut to quickly open your favorite TV shows and movies.

Shortcuts has proven to be an excellent tool for productivity and everyday tasks, but what about entertainment? When I sit back and relax in the evenings with my iPad, I often find myself wanting to binge a few episodes of a favorite show, or put on a favorite movie. The Shortcuts app helps me work and take care of life’s little tasks — can it entertain me, too?

Turns out, yes, it can. There are several ways you can use Shortcuts for everything from playing music to jumping to your favorite TV show on Netflix. We’ll be focusing on the latter ability in this guide by building a media launcher.

Inspired by the work of Federico Viticci of MacStories and his Apple TV+ Launcher, I’ve created a couple of similar shortcuts that I find particularly useful when I want to watch a particular favorite show or movie. These shortcuts utilize the Dictionary action in Shortcuts, as well as a few other scripting capabilities.

Yes, you can set privacy settings in the new Microsoft Edge browser

At launch, the new web browser for Mac includes limited privacy settings you can change.

The third-party Microsoft Edge web browser for Mac offers two significant privacy settings to users. These include web tracking prevention tools and the ability to remove browsing data with ease. No doubt, more privacy tools will arrive in the coming months in future app updates.

Mac users should try Microsoft’s new Edge browser out without feeling guilty about it.

Set your level of protection

Microsoft Edge offers three levels of protection when it comes to web trackers. These are those pesky tools that companies use to collect data about how we interact with a site. By doing so, they can offer web content and ads customized for your benefit. Unfortunately, some web trackers can also cause harm. Microsoft Edge addresses the good and bad web trackers in a way that other browsers do not. …

Uploading photos to your 2018 iPad Pro got a whole lot better in iPadOS 13

The 2018 iPad Pro simplifies importing photos from a standalone camera.

If you love taking photos on a standalone camera, like a DSLR or mirrorless camera, rather than on your iPhone, one of the major frustration points has always been getting the photos from your camera onto a device for editing and storage. This could be particularly annoying if you’re trying to do so with an iOS device like an iPad, where you’ve needed one of two adapters, either Apple’s Lightning SD card reader or the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.

This has changed with the arrival of Apple’s latest generations of iPad Pro. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch models released in late 2018 feature a USB-C port instead of Lightning. This change allows you newfound freedom when importing your photos onto these new iPads, including the use of third-party SD card readers, as well as direct camera-to-iPad connections, sans adapter.

USB-C and adapters

Like the Mac lineup before it, the iPad Pro now uses USB-C. Among other th…
