You can modify any shortcut, even those made by Apple

You can customize the Shortcuts you download for exactly how you want to use them. Here’s how.

Launched in the fall of 2018 alongside iOS 12, Apple’s Shortcuts app allows users to build multi-step actions that can be triggered with the tap of a button or a custom Siri command. Shortcuts can be built using functions of iOS itself, or those donated by third-party apps.

But you can also download pre-made Shortcuts, including those created by the Shortcuts team that reside in the app’s Gallery section, or those built and shared by other Shortcuts users, which can be downloaded from the web. But if you find that these pre-made Shortcuts need either a tweak or a major addition to suit your needs, it’s easy enough to modify them for your purposes.

Here’s what you need to know about modifying existing Shortcuts on your iPhone or iPad.

Go over that troll’s comment history with YouTube’s new Profile Cards

The comment history is restricted to only the current channel, however.

What you need to know

YouTube is launching a new feature called Profile Cards, which it hopes will encourage users to ”explore comments, build connections with others.”
When scrolling through the comments on a video, you can now click on a person’s name to launch their Profile Card.
This contains information like their name, subscriber counts, and their entire comment history on the channel in question.

YouTube hopes its new Profile Cards (via TechCrunch) will foster a cooperative spirit among the YouTube community and help them ”explore comments, build connections with others, and contribute to a more welcoming YouTube overall.” However, it’s hard to disregard the potential for abuse and generally troll-like behavior that it could also enable.

With the change, clicking on a user’s name or profile picture while scrolling through comments on a video will open up their very own ’Profile Card.’ Among other th…

The official Podcast app supports Apple Watch so you can sync your favorite iOS Podcasts across both your iPhone and your wearable device.

As you would expect from an Apple product, there’s no direct setup required to begin experiencing podcasts on Apple Watch. Once the Apple Podcasts app has been installed on both devices, you’re good to go. The only requirements are that you have watchOS 5 or later installed on your Apple Watch and you’ll need to pair Bluetooth headphones or a speaker to your Apple Watch to listen to the podcasts; you can’t listen to them without a connected audio device.

This is great news for wireless charging fans since it is quite convenient to charge your iPhone and AirPods together on the same wireless charging stand. However, even if you don’t purchase the wireless charging case, you still have several options for charging your AirPods and iPhone together with the same charging stand. Here are some of the best charging stations for your iPhone and AirPods 2, whether you have the wireless charging case or not.

Blast and slash your way through the colorful Riverbond on Nintendo Switch

Riverbond is a fun shoot-and-slash dungeon crawler that will appeal to everyone.

When it comes to games, one of my favorite genres is definitely the good ol’ hack-n-slash dungeon crawler. Think Diablo III and the like — these are the games I live for. So when I saw Riverbond on the Nintendo eShop, I was intrigued. I’m not a huge fan of Minecraft itself, but I like the voxel art style that it popularized, and how can I say no to a game that promises frantic fun?

Frantic shoot-n-slash fun

Riverbond

Bottom line: Riverbond is a simple shoot-n-slash dungeon crawler for the entire family. It’s not too challenging or very in-depth, making it best geared for younger or casual gamers.

Pros

Cute voxel art
Simple but challenging gameplay
Easy to learn controls
Variety of character skins and weapons
Fun co-op gameplay

Cons

Can I add a wrist tether to my Nintendo Switch Lite?

Best answer: Unfortunately, you can’t tether the Nintendo Switch Lite to your wrist. The best way to protect your device is with a good case. Fortunately, if you are worried about grip, there are options with grip handles.

Get the added grip: TPU Grip Case Cover ($8 at Amazon)
Protect from drops on the move: SBHC Hard Carrying Case ($6 at Amazon)

Protect your Nintendo Switch Lite

If you want a safety net for your Nintendo Switch Lite to keep it protected, that is understandable. If you’ve played old Nintendo handheld consoles like the Nintendo DS systems, you may be used to having a wrist strap as an added safety measure for your device to protect against theft and drop damage. With such a lightweight system, if you’re taking your Nintendo Switch Lite on public transportation or anywhere on-the-go, you may get bumped. The fear of dropping it makes sense, but right now, it doesn’t look as though Nintendo has any plans to make a way to add a wrist tether to the system.

However, i…

Apple crushed true wireless headphone sales in 2019 with 54.4% market share

Xiaomi and Samsung came in second and third place, respectively.

What you need to know

Apple dominates the true wireless headphone market with over 50% of sales.
Xiaomi comes in second with 8.5% of the market.
Samsung is a distant third after shipping 7.4 million units in 2019 for 6.9% of the market.

When Apple introduced the AirPods, it pretty much created an entirely new category of headphones. One where Bluetooth earbuds cut the cord and were no longer connected by a wire. Instead, the buds now featured a truly wireless design along with a charging case, and thanks to the removal of the headphone jack in many of today’s flagship phones, the market is booming.

Not only is Apple responsible for this trend, but it also currently dominates the market with a whopping 54.4% share after shipping 58.7 million AirPods in 2019, according to data from Strategy Analytics (via Yonhap). While it’s not unexpected to see Apple with the lion share of the TWS headset market, the runner-up may…
