Apple offers students free Beats Solo2 headphones with a Mac purchase

Apple is spinning up its 2015 Back to School promotion, which this year offers eligible education customers a free pair of Beats Solo2 On-ear headphones for no extra cost when they purchase a Mac. For an extra $100, these customers can upgrade to the Beats Solo2 Wireless. The Beats Solo2 normally cost $199, while the wireless version is normally $299.

To qualify for the offer, you must be a student at a university, a parent of such a student, or a university faculty member. This offer is, of course, on top of the existing educational discounts that Apple already offers to students and faculty. The promotion has started in Apple Retail Stores and Apple Authorized Campus Stores, and will come to the Apple Online Store starting August 6. The promotion will run until September 18, 2015.
