Apple notifies winners of Apple TV dev kit lottery

Apple is in the process of notifying developers if they've been selected to receive a hardware development kit for the new Apple TV. The kit, which contains a new Apple TV, its remote, the power cord, a lightning to USB cable, and a USB-A to USB-C cable, must be claimed by selected developers by 5:00 p.m. on September 16 for the price of $1.00.

From Francesco Zerbinati on Twitter:

The developer kit for the Apple TV allows developers to test their apps on a working device before launch.

The new Apple TV, announced last week, features improved internal components, such as an Apple A8 system-on-a-chip, along with increased internal storage and support for third-party apps. It will launch at some point in October, priced at $149 for the 32GB box, and $199 for 64GB.
