Apple said to be eyeing 4.15 million square-foot space in San Jose

Apple is reportedly looking to build a large, new campus facility in San Jose, California. The space is said to be 4.15 million square feet, even larger than the company's "mothership" Campus 2, currently under construction in Cupertino.

From the Silicon Valley Business Journal:

The draft agreement, which is not yet completed, will come before the city's Planning Commission later this month, officials said. It would lock in development rights — and expectations for both sides — for the next 15 years in an area that sprawls across 86 acres north of Highway 101 across from the Mineta San Jose International Airport.

Apple is also said to have purchased a 43-acre development site in San Jose earlier this year. The purpose of these spaces isn't known presently, and it could entail anything from office space to research and development facilities.
