Jaybird’s latest Bluetooth earbuds offer extensive sound customization

At CES 2016, Jaybird announced two new wireless in-ear headphones: Freedom and X3. Both earbuds come with the MySound companion app, which lets you save customized sound profiles based on your listening habits directly onto the hardware. What it essentially means is that you'll be able to save your EQ settings directly on the Freedom and X3, thereby allowing for a consistent listening experience no matter which device you use with the earbuds.
The Jaybird Freedom features a metallic sweat-proof design, Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity, 5.8mm drivers, and the ability to pair with up to eight devices. You get four hours of play time on a single charge, which can be extended by an additional four hours through the bundled charging clip. The earbuds offer Quick Charge functionality as well, delivering an hour's worth of play time when charged for 20 minutes. There's an in-line remote that lets you adjust volume on the fly, and a mic through which you can take calls. Comply's sport foam ear tips are included in the box.
The Jaybird X3 offers a similar set of features in a plastic design and seven hours of playback on a single charge, adding the vendor's SignalPlus tech that delivers a stronger signal for "skip-free music" sessions when outdoors.
You'll be able to pick up the Freedom in Q2 for $199. The X3 will also be making its debut at the same time, retailing for $149.
