Day One 2 arrives with a fresh look, multiple journals, and much more

Day One 2 for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, is the the follow-up to the popular Day One journaling app from developer Bloom Built. Building on the foundation of the original app, Day One 2 adds several new features and capabilities to its digital journaling experience, including a new interface, multiple journals, multiple photos per entry, and much more.

You'll find the following features in Day One 2 across iPhone, iPad, and the Mac:

Multiple Photos per entry (up to ten inline photos)

Multiple Journals (up to ten journals with unique colors and names)

Day One Sync 2.0

Custom Reminders

Entry Management (select, move, tag, and delete multiple entries at a time)

Timeline Filters (star, tags, location, year, activity, and music)

Timezone Support

Both apps also now feature just one syncing option: Day One Sync. Bloom Built says that Day One Sync 2.0 is the foundation for a number of new features and options coming in the future. Note that you can create backups and export them to several external services, including iCloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

The app also has new features unique to either iOS or OS X. On iPhone and iPad, Day One 2 features a new Map View, which lets you view the locations where you've made journal entries. The app also supports 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s. The iPad Pro is also enjoys full support with this release.

On the Mac side, Day One 2 supports opening multiple windows at once, and features single or dual-pane window modes. PDF export has also been redesigned, and there are support for a number of gestures as well.

Day One 2 is a completely new app, and as such, you'll need to purchase it even if you already own Day One. Normally $9.99 on iPhone and iPad and $39.99 on Mac, Day One 2 is currently 50% off for both platforms for a limited time to celebrate the launch.
