Google Maps updated with support for 3D Touch, lets you add route diversions

The official Google Maps app for iPhone and iPad has been updated to support 3D Touch on latest hardware. As well as supporting the feature, the latest app update brings with it the ability for you to add diversions to a route for gas, restaurants or even supermarkets.

Here's the full changelog for version 4.16:

  • Add diversions to your route like petrol stations, restaurants, supermarkets and more
  • Use 3D touch to press and hold the Google Maps app icon to quickly get directions to home and work
  • Bug fixes
