tvOS 9.2 released for the new Apple TV with app folders, iCloud Photo Library and more

Fourth-generation Apple TV owners can now download tvOS 9.2, which features a number of improvements, as well as some new features. You can now place Apple TV apps in folders, and you can use the Siri Remote to dictate, via your voice, items in text fields such as searches, usernames and passwords.

Here are the big changes with tvOS 9.2:

  • Siri and Dictation: Ask Siri to find apps on the App Store. Dictate with your voice and spell your user names and passwords instead of typing them. And Siri now understands Spanish in the U.S.
  • Folders: Organize your apps into folders for easier access, Simply press and hold the Touch surface on the remote, and move one app on top of another to create a folder.
  • Apple Wireless Keyboards: If you prefer typing instead of dictating, Apple TV now supports Apple Wireless Keyboards.
  • Photos: Enjoy your iCloud Photo Library, including Live Photos, on the big screen.

Apple has been beta testing tvOS 9.2 for the past few months, and it's a pretty solid update for the new Apple TV. You can grab the update right now on your Apple TV.
