9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPhone SE pack 2GB of RAM

According to information from an early set of benchmarks, it looks like the new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro both pack 2GB of RAM. RAM is one tech spec that Apple normally doesn't divulge in its product announcements — meaning those interested usually have to wait for teardowns or benchmarks to get the full picture. However, TechCrunch's Matthew Panzarino, who has both of the devices in hand, has taken to Twitter to post the results from a memory checking app:

For comparison, the larger iPad Pro also packs double the RAM of the 9.7-inch version, coming in at 4GB. Panzarino also ran benchmarking app Geekbench on the new, smaller iPad Pro, showing that its CPU is running at a slightly lower clock speed of 2.16GHz compared to its 12.9-inch sibling's 2.24GHz:

While these early results may be disappointing to some, they do offer a better look at the differences between the two iPad Pro options (aside from screen size) for those who may find themselves waffling back-and-forth.
