Tim Cook joins board of directors of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights

Apple CEO Tim Cook has joined the board of directors of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, formerly known as the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. The organization advocates for human rights and social progress around the world, and is named after the late Robert Kennedy, a personal hero of Cook's.

Cook has previously been recognized by Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights for his social advocacy, earning the Ripple of Hope Award from the organization late last year. As CEO of Apple, Tim Cook has been notably outspoken on social justice issues in the last few years, advocating for a more inclusive society and opposing a number of legislative efforts that he sees as discriminatory.
