What’s new on the App Store: Fullscreen, Spellbinders, and apps for Mother’s Day

Each week, the App Store highlights some of the best new and updated apps. This week, take a look at Fullscreen, Spellbinders, and apps for Mother's Day.

We start our look at new apps this week with Fullscreen, which offers original digital shows and films for $4.99 per month after a month-long trial. Sago Mini Robot Party lets you build your own animated cupcake-making robots. Jelly, which lets you get informed answers from real people on a wide range of topics, has relaunched its app for iPhone. Finally, CNN has launched a new app focused entirely on political news.

Games this week start with Spellbinders, a new fantasy-themed online battle arena game. Egz is a new title that seeks to marry platforming action with an animated movie. If you've ever had fantasies of riding a massive, gun-strapped tortoise into battle, you're going want to check out War Tortoise. You can also check out the latest entry in the Angry Birds family of games, Angry Birds Action, which puts a mad, avian spin on pinball.

Mother's Day is just around the corner, and you can use Apple Pay to get a gift through one of these apps. Some apps are offering discounts for the holiday, such as Print Studio, which offers 15% off purchases storewide. If you use Apple Pay with Wayfair, the company is offering up to $10 off your following purchase.

Check back next week for more new apps and games from the App Store, and remember to check out this week's Free App of the Week.
