Apple: More than 2 million apps available with 130 billion downloads

On stage at WWDC, Apple announced that the App Store has grown from 500 apps to over 2 million apps. These apps have been downloaded more than 130 billion times, and developers have been paid out nearly $50 billion to date. Developers are a huge part of the story, and Apple previously revealed that it has more than 13 million registered developers.

Impressive stats from Apple on the App Store front, but there is still work to be done. Apple recently announced that it would be making some additional changes like subscriptions, developer pay splits and more.
