Best apps for upping your YouTube and Facebook video game!

How do you make your Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram videos stand out from the crowd? With these great apps!

Skip. Skip. Skip. You know how it is. Endless same-as-same-could-be videos junking up your Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook feeds. You don't want to be part of the problem, so what can you do? Easy, take some great time-lapse videos and some amazing slow-motion snapshots with your friends and then use these amazing apps to make them truly unique!

Camcorder

Remember those old VHS tapes you and your family had with the slight grain and the timestamp in the lower left corner? Camcorder aims to bring a bit of nostalgia to your social media videos by throwing you back to the time of rewinding and renting tapes from your local Blockbuster.

The app is super simple to use: Either launch the app from your Home screen and start recording in all its 90s glory, or pull a video from your camera roll so you can give it the same effect.

Regardless of how you choose to use it, Camcorder is a fun throwback and a super straightforward tool to add a little extra somethin' to your Instagram videos!

Vizmato

Vizmato is an addictive video editing app that'll make you feel like you're the director of a sci-fi film, horror movie, silent film, or romantic comedy with just the swipe of a filter and a little bit of editing.

After opening Vizmato, you get three options for filming: You can either shoot with an original, untouched filter; 11 colored, textured filters; or 7 insanely cool theme filters.

Depending on the tone of video you're looking to shoot, theme filters can really add to your creation. For example, if you wanted to make a futuristic, high-tech looking video, try out the sci-fi theme. It comes complete with on-screen digital graphics and a computer-monitor look and feel — the screen pixelates and glitches out at random.

You can also use certain special effects, like slow motion, spins, inset screens, lens warping, and so much more. The other cool part about Vizmato? The theme music you can add to give your vids that extra-romantic or super-creepy feel.

DSCO

While some may argue that DSCO is an app that creates GIFs rather than videos, one could argue that it actually creates short little video clips, similar to an app like Vine or Snapchat, with its own unique feel.

DSCO is pretty straightforward: Just launch the app and start shooting your video. Of note: You only get a window of around six seconds to capture whatever you want. Once your video is captured, simply swipe left or right to add a cool-looking filter and save your video.

Note: DSCO is that it works hand-in-hand with your VSCO account, so you have to sign into your VSCO account to get DSCO working at all.

VidLab

Shoot, add text, frames, adjust, add filters, and so much more with VidLab, the video shooting app that allows you to get detailed with your editing for social media.

After shooting your video clips or choosing to import videos from your camera roll, VidLab gives you options to adjust the brightness, contrast, exposure, or saturation of your video, add (and buy) filters for your video, as well as insert specialized artwork onto your video.

For example, if you're putting together a video of you and your significant other, you could check out the Love artwork package and add little sayings and stickers to your video for a personalized style. How cute is that?!
