iOS 10: How to crop, filter, and adjust Live Photos in Photos for iPhone and iPad

How do I edit Live photos? Right in the Photos app!

Live Photos are a newer featureon iPhone, but with iOS 10 you're now able to edit and tweak your Live masterpieces to your heart's content!

Here are a few ways to edit and adjust your Live photos with iOS 10!

How to crop a Live Photo in the Photos app

  1. Launch Photos from your Home screen.
  2. Tap the photo you would like to edit.
  3. Tap the edit button in between the heart and the garbage can along the bottom of the screen.

  4. Tap the crop button
  5. Pinch, rotate, and drag to crop and adjust your photo to your liking.
  6. Tap Done in the lower right corner of the screen.

How to add a filter to a Live Photo in the Photos app

  1. Launch Photos from your Home screen.
  2. Tap the photo you would like to edit.
  3. Tap the edit button in between the heart and the garbage can along the bottom of the screen.

  4. Tap the filter button. It looks like a 3-circle Venn diagram.
  5. Tap the filter you would like to add to your Live photo.
  6. Tap Done in the lower right corner of the screen.

How to adjust Live photo settings in the Photos app

  1. Launch Photos from your Home screen.
  2. Tap the photo you would like to edit.
  3. Tap the edit button in between the heart and the garbage can along the bottom of the screen.

  4. Tap the adjust button. It looks like a dial in the middle of smaller white dots.
  5. Tap Light, Color, or B&W to adjust your photo's settings.

  6. Tap the setting you would like to adjust.
  7. To manually adjust the photo settings, tap and drag left or right.

How to automatically adjust a Live Photos in the Photos app

  1. Launch Photos from your Home screen.
  2. Tap the photo you would like to edit.

  3. Tap the edit button in between the heart and the garbage can along the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the magic wand in the upper right corner.
