In this week's Netflix selections, a woman drives her heroin-addicted brother and his two-year-old around Los Angeles in search of a detox center. David Letterman has a conversation with Jay-Z about hip-hop and criminal justice, also throwing in a visit to music producer Rick Rubin. Finally, Boss Baby teams up with Tim and his employees at Baby Corp in order to bring down a cat that threatens babies' dominance as the thing people see as the cutest.

  • 6 Balloons - In this Netflix original film, a young woman named Katie drives around Los Angeles with her heroin-addicted brother in search of a detox center after he relapses. Things are made more complicated by the presence of her brother's two-year-old daughter. Katie tries her best to take care of both of them, as she tries to finally stop enabling her brother and get him the help he needs.
  • My Next Guest Needs No Introduction - Jay-Z - The next installment of David Letterman's Netflix original chat show sees the host sit down for a conversation with Jay-Z that touches on everything from hip-hop flow to the criminal justice system. Dave also heads to Malibu to hang out with producer Rick Rubin at his studio.
  • The Boss Baby: Back in Business - Season 1 - A follow-up to the The Boss Baby film, this original animated series follows Boss Baby as he brings his older brother inside the secret world of Baby Corp, where infants try to keep themselves on top as the most loved thing in the world. When a particular cat threatens that dominance, Boss Baby, Tim, and the Baby Corp crew band together to come up with a solution to their cuteness problem.

Coming Attractions

As always, this week on Netflix sees a new set of original shows hit the service, beginning with the first season of, Lost in Space, an update on the original 1960s sci-fi series that follows a family as they try to survive on an alien world after their colony ship is destroyed. Come Sunday tells the story of Carlton Pearson as he butts heads with his church after he begins preaching a doctrine of universal salvation. Finally, in the second season of The Magic School Bus Rides Again, Fiona Frizzle once again takes the Walkerville Elementary class out on a series of adventures from the top of a noodle mountain to the center of the sun.

  • Lost in Space - Season 1 - In this Netflix original update of the 1960s sci-fi series, the Robinson family journeys into space in order to establish a new colony for humanity among the stars, only to encounter disaster, forcing them to survive on a harsh alien world. As they explore this new world, young Will Robinson stumbles upon a new robotic friend, humanity's first evidence of alien intelligence. Arrives April 13.
  • Come Sunday - Based on real events, this Netflix original film tells the story of Carlton Pearson, a Pentecostal pastor who questions church doctrine after receiving what he believes to be an epiphany from God. When he begins preaching a doctrine of universal salvation, he finds himself facing serious consequences, including possible branding as a heretic. Arrive April 13.
  • The Magic School Bus Rides Again - Season 2 - Fiona Frizzle is back to drive the kids of Walkerville Elementary around on the Magic School Bus on another series of adventures. This year, the class heads back in time to take on the forms of primordial creatures, shrinks themselves, travels at the speed of light, heads off on an adventure in space, where they even head to the center of the son. Arrives April 13.
