Apple offering developers a chance to get an Apple Watch by April 28

Apple is offering select developers a chance to purchase an Apple Watch Sport with an expedited delivery date.
Some developers are being offered the chance to register now through April 23 at 10 a.m. PDT. Apple is guaranteeing delivery of a 42mm silver aluminum Apple Watch Sport with a blue sport band by Tuesday, April 28. Developers selected by Apple are currently receiving an email from the company.

While some developers have had the chance to test their apps on working Apple Watches at Apple's testing facilities, most have not. Additionally, even developers who have been able to do so will want to have a watch to test with going forward. The opportunity that Apple is presenting will allow more developers to get the device in their hands faster than the normal ordering process.
It should be noted that Apple does not appear to be offering a special price to eligible developers. The 42mm Apple Watch Sport with any sport band retails for $399.
