Get your first look at the new Lego Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City set

Blast off to a Lego galaxy far, far away.

Lego's Betrayal at Cloud City set has been unveiled. Based on Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, this immensely detailed set features four distinct sections where you can play out iconic scenes from the film.

The set includes just over 2,800 pieces, along with 18 minifigures of fan-favorite characters like Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett. R2-D2 is included too, of course.

When completed, there's a landing platform where you can set Boba Fett's Slave I ship, a dining room for when Darth Vader gets hungry, and even a balcony where you can set up an epic Luke and Vader lightsaber battle. There's a carbon freeze chamber, an interrogation chamber, and a prison cell too. The list goes on.

Star Wars Lego sets can be pretty insane with how detailed they are, and this set is no exception. While it's no Millennium Falcon from the Ultimate Collector's Series, it's still a unique and fun piece in its own right. The best part is that it can pair nicely with other Lego Star Wars sets you might have, allowing you to piece together the universe one set at a time. There are options like Yoda's Hut, Hoth Attack, and the discontinued AT-AT which are based on the same film, while you could also find sets for the earlier or later films.

This set goes on sale beginning October 1 for $349.99, but if you can't wait until then, Lego VIP members can purchase it early beginning September 13. If you're not a VIP member yet, it pays to become one as you'll receive points for every purchase you make at Lego which can be then used towards future purchases. Plus, it's free to join, so there's really no reason why you shouldn't.
